Day 2 is in the books. I'm kind of feeling a little sick right now, so I left AX a little early (didn't want to stick around for AX Idol)...

I met the COOLEST Gundam 00 cosplayers. They all loved my Gundam 00 Ducks jersey and their cosplay was SUGOI!!! I was a little pissed that they decided to cancel the Gundam 00 fan panel w/out telling anyone in advance and then Bandai went ahead and canceled their panel as well. BAH. C'mon, guys!! 2nd time in a row you've bailed on me! (First at A-Kon and now this??!!!).. GGRRRRR...

I did meet Christine, Cigam, Hugo, Justin.. the entire OCAG gang, pretty much. ZOMG, Christine's Bowser was amazing and Cigam's "Peach" was pretty hardcore, too. XD XD

At any rate, so far, so good. Downtown LA isn't even remotely as problematic as I thought it'd be. Security seems to be doing a killer job thus far. But I do have to say that... it's incredibly ODD to see Staples Center without ANY Kings fans whatsoever. And I mean, WEIRD. Every square inch of space in downtown LA's been taken over by otaku. It's awesome...

Well, tomorrow, I'm cosplaying "Anaheim Ducks" Roxas and Sunday, I'll be "L" from Death Note. Halfway there, unfortunately... :S

So it's official. I'm not going to Calgary. :sobs: Just too bloody expensive and the NHL is just taking too long to release their schedule.

Therefore... I've decided... that I'll save my $$ and go to Fanime 2009 and Otakon 2009. I feel as though I need to re-visit Fanime, since it was horribly ruined for me when I first went back in 2006. So I'm starting from scratch and pretending as though I'd never set foot in Sharks land. XD

Still... I'm pretty bummed, since I'd really, REALLY hoped that I'd be able to go back to Canada sometime in 2008. But no.

Anime pwns the NHL. AGAIN. :sighs:

Anywayyyyy... the draft party was awesome. I didn't expect it to turn out to be so fun, but I sure had a great time, even if I was alone. Free food, free drinks, free parking.. man! The Kings went all out for us fans. Really made me feel happy. The Nokia Theater? Man, that's a sight to behold. It is soooo gorgeous. I think AX did the right thing by choosing the LACC and the Nokia Theater. Masquerade is going to be soooooo good. I cannot, CANNOT wait for Anime Expo 2008.

However! The Anaheim Ducks charity dinner? BLAH. Chris Pronger, Kent Huskins, Joe DiPenta and George Parros were there. I will just summarize by saying that DiPenta's lasagna was one of the best dishes that I've had in a long, long time. The rest of the event? SOOOOOOOO not worth the $$. It was ridiculously hot and the lines to get autographs was just ludicrous. I'm really glad I didn't drag Kim into this mess.... Pronger did recognize me, so that was kinda hilarious. Man, he's got a wicked memory...

Kings: 500 points. Ducks: 5.

My medal that I received at my last 5K run. LOL, we all got medals for finishing, but I was really happy. XD

I ended up finishing the 5K in 33:04 minutes. My best time ever. I was absolutely thrilled when I saw my final time going through the finish chutes... 50,000 people showed up for the race and we actually got to run out of the USC tunnel onto the Coliseum's field. It was really, really cool.

Next 5K? September, most likely. With some members of OCAG as we represent... TEAM DUCKS! Sugoi!!

So I got my Anaheim Ducks playoff tickets yesterday and... THEY'RE ORANGE!! Yus, orange. Hideous.

And... I've started doing two sessions of cardio per day. 30 minutes at lunch (plus 8 flights of stairs) and 60 minutes at home around my neighborhood. It is seriously working. XD XD :is happy:

OMG. I love snowboarding! Which is really messed up b/c I'm the most uncoordinated person on the face of the planet, with no balance whatsoever.

And yet... I mastered heel edge ! Can't believe it! I still have to work on toe edge, but I'm ready to take on turns soon! Crazy insane!!! XD XD Dare I try and catch some air next time? LMAO, I don't think so...

I shouldn't be happy. I can't stand the man.

But... b-but... I can't help myself. YAY FOR TEEMU SELANNE!! WELCOME BACK, DOOD!! :throws confetti:

Never, EVER go to a Ducks game wearing running shoes when it's pouring rain and windy.

Still not much to update on...

My Ducks won the Stanley Cup.

Anime Expo was awesome.

That's about it.
